Once at your destination : pleasure and the respect of the other's home

Simply respect your Swap Partner's home as if it was your own. Your Swap Partner will do the same in your home.

Common sense will bring you to make all the same decisions as you would in your home in the same circumstances. Each person will watch over the other's home (you can finally head off on holiday without worrying about being burgled!) and you will quickly realize that it's more than just a trip, as you will experience the region to its full as if you were a local.

When your trip is over, you just have to remember to clean up before leaving (it is always nicer to arrive home to a clean and tidy place).

In short, don't forget to:

• Put back clean and ironed sheets and towels where you originally found them.

• Switch off the various electric appliances or put them in sleep mode (whichever way they were when you arrived).

• Leave a note with any messages from visitors, or incidents you want to point out, etc.

• And it goes without saying, a little thank you gift never goes unnoticed!
